Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know before your visit. Still have a question? We’d love to hear from you.

Do I need to book an appointment?

We operate primarily by appointment, but we welcome walk-in brides if the boutique is free. Booking secures the luxury of a private appointment with our undivided attention and exclusive access to the whole shop. Weekend appointments fill up quickly, so do book in advance. We’re unable to accommodate walk-ins while a bridal appointment is already in progress.

It’s my first time and I’m nervous, what can I expect?

You’re in safe hands. We’re trained in body positivity and body confidence, offering care and support while each gown is tried on, with protocols to make you feel completely at ease while respecting your personal space. You’ll leave with a spring in your step.

How long are appointments, and is there a charge?

Appointments last 90 minutes and are completely free.

How far in advance should I start looking?

We advise 12 to 18 months before your wedding date, but please don’t panic if you’ve only a few months or weeks to go. You can buy off the peg, or choose a sample-sale gown at a vastly reduced price.

I’d like a veil and accessories, can I still book in?

Yes! You’re more than welcome to book an accessories appointment, even if you bought your gown from another shop.

How many guests can I bring?

We have room on the sofa for four guests, but you can bring as many as you wish, this is your moment. Children and family are always welcome.

What should I wear, and do I need to bring anything?

We recommend nude or white underwear where possible, though it isn’t essential, as our gowns have built-in bust cups. You don’t need to bring anything; we have shoes and accessories for you to try on with the gowns. And yes, you’re very welcome to take photos.

What sizes do you have?

We have all sizes in store to try on up to a size 28, and can order from a UK 2 up to a UK 40. We only work with designers who are fully inclusive, some offering a special-measures service.

What are your price ranges?

Our gowns start from £99 for ex-sample gowns up to £2,500 for made-to-order.

How do I pay, and do you offer payment options?

After saying yes, you pay a 50% part-payment, then settle the balance on collection, or chip away at it whenever you please through our zero-fuss payment plan, with no finance company and no credit checks.

How long will my gown take to arrive?

Around 16 to 20 weeks from ordering with standard delivery. Need it sooner? A rush cut (extra charge) brings this to around 12 weeks, and some designers carry live stock for immediate dispatch.

How will I get my gown altered, and what does it cost?

We have a recommended seamstress list covering Lichfield, Derby, Burton, Tamworth, Kingsbury, Aldridge and Cannock. Prices vary with the work needed, and your seamstress will confirm costs before starting.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately not at this time, as there are four steps up to the shop to gain access.

Is there parking?

Yes, there’s lots of free parking right outside the shop for you and your guests.
